Before the estimate
What makes a contractor
appointment qualified?
A qualified contractor appointment starts with a homeowner whose project fits your business. They are in your service area, have discussed budget and intent, and have agreed to an estimate. At LMC, a real appointment setter makes that call before booking.
Phone qualification establishes fit. Your estimator assesses the property, quotes the work and wins the sale.
The conversation behind the booking
Four checks behind a qualified contractor appointment.
A completed form gives us someone to contact. Our in-house setters then use a tested phone script to check homeownership, service area, budget and intent against the campaign you agree with us.
Homeowner & project fit
The conversation confirms homeownership and whether the enquiry concerns the kind of work your business takes on. Your campaign criteria define the projects you want to quote.
Service area
The homeowner needs to be in an area you serve. Agreeing that area before launch helps keep the campaign focused on estimates your team can attend.
Budget
We discuss budget as part of the fit check. That conversation does not replace your site assessment or final quote. Project requirements and pricing depend on the work your business offers.
Intent to move forward
Our setter checks the homeowner's interest in taking the next step and books an available estimate slot after qualification. Agreeing to an estimate is still a different decision from accepting a quote.
The criteria should fit your business. Agree the project types, service area and any budget or timing requirements before launch instead of relying on the word “qualified” alone.
How LMC handles appointment setting
From a homeowner form to your calendar.
01 / The homeowner enquires.
LMC creates and funds the advertising for the agreed services and area. An interested homeowner completes a form.
02 / Our setter calls.
A real member of our in-house team speaks with the homeowner using our tested script and checks the details above.
03 / You attend the estimate.
After qualification, we book an available calendar slot. Your team assesses the job, provides the quote and follows up to close it.
This describes our appointment-setting service. With LMC pay per lead, we cover ad spend and send enquiries to your team; you handle calling, qualification and booking. Compare the two options →
Decide what fits before the calls start
Give qualification a clear brief.
A useful starting brief names the work you want, where you will travel and how many estimates your team can handle. Discuss any project exclusions, budget expectations or timing requirements with us.
Keep the technical assessment with your estimator. A phone call cannot establish everything about surface condition, preparation, installation access or the final scope of work.
Our current focus is epoxy and concrete coatings, interior and exterior painting, and permanent outdoor lighting. Each campaign needs its own project criteria.
- Epoxy & concrete coatings: identify the residential spaces and coating work you offer, including suitable projects beyond garages. Coating appointments →
- Painting: agree whether the campaign covers interior work, exterior work or both, and which projects fit your crew. Painting appointments →
- Permanent lighting: define the outdoor installations and service area you offer. Your estimator confirms design, access and the final quote. Lighting appointments →
Keep the outcomes clear
Track each step through to the job.
Enquiry
A homeowner has expressed interest and supplied contact details.
Qualified
The phone conversation establishes fit against the agreed criteria.
Booked
An estimate has been scheduled. It has not necessarily taken place.
Attended
The appointment has happened. A quote may still need follow-up.
Won
The homeowner has agreed to hire your business for the job.
Measure booking, attendance and sales separately. When reviewing results, use the same group of appointments and allow time for quote decisions. A full calendar alone does not tell you how much work you have won.
A clear division of work
We handle the calls. You handle the estimate.
What LMC takes on
For the appointment offer, we cover ad spend, generate enquiries, speak with homeowners and book estimates after qualification. There is no upfront cost, retainer or lock-in contract.
You pay for appointments that show up. Cancellations and no-shows receive a 100% appointment-fee credit.
What stays with your team
You attend the appointment, assess the property, provide the quote, follow up and deliver the work. Qualification gives you an opportunity to sell; it cannot guarantee that the homeowner will accept your proposal.
For an example of the service in practice, read the Alpha Crest appointment-setting case. Its booked-estimate figures describe that campaign, not a guarantee of attendance or sales.
Common questions
Before you fill the calendar.
Does a form submission count as a qualified appointment?
No. In LMC's appointment service, a form submission starts the process. A setter then calls to check fit and book an estimate. A booked appointment also remains separate from an attended appointment.
Does the budget check mean the homeowner has accepted a price?
No. Budget is discussed during qualification, but your estimator determines the final scope and price. The homeowner still needs to accept your quote.
What if the homeowner cancels or does not show?
LMC's appointment offer includes a 100% appointment-fee credit for cancellations and no-shows. That is a credit against the appointment fee, not a cash-back promise or a guarantee of a sold job.
Can my team call the leads instead?
Yes. With LMC pay per lead, we cover the ad spend and send enquiries to you. Your team calls, qualifies and books. Wrong numbers, duplicates and out-of-area leads can be replaced; a valid unanswered lead remains payable. Read the replacement terms. The appointment no-show credit belongs to the appointment offer.
